TCU Campaigns information meeting
TCU Campaigns is looking for Marketing/Advertising/PR "winners" to help us beat UT, Texas State, SMU, OU and other "big guns" again in 2008!
If you are a junior or a senior and want to be part of a winning tradition that will put your marketing/advertising/PR and related skills to work right now, then you need to come to an informational meeting on the TCU Campaigns Team to be held at 5 p.m. this Thursday, September 20th in Moudy 280S!
Last year, the TCU Campaigns Team won the National Student Advertising Competition 10th district championship and went on to finish eighth in the nation! This year, they plan to answer a marketing challenge from AOL and go all the way again to the nationals in Atlanta. So, if you want a real world experience, the opportunity to work with some of TCU's finest and get three hours ad/PR or marketing elective credit at the same time, then make sure you come this thursday to learn what you can do for campaigns and, in turn, what campaigns can do to give you a semester you will never forget.
Questions? E-mail Mike Wood, NSAC adviser, at m.wood@tcu.edu...or, save them for thursday...see you there!

Schieffer School Widget Information
The Schieffer School Student Calendar widget is now available. If you have a Mac running Dashboard (typically Mac OS X version 10.4 or later), this should work for you. Please note that it has not been rigorously tested on a variety of OS X flavors, so your mileage may vary.
The widget is can be downloaded by clicking here. After downloading, use Stuffit Expander (probably already on your Mac) to decompress the zip archive. Then double click on the schieffer.wdgt icon, and click "keep".
The headlines on the widget will be updated every time someone posts an event on the Schieffer Student Calendar.
Note: Yes, for the widget-obsessive, this widget is not that different in appearance or functionality from the sample code by Apple. That stuff is on my to-do list... First effort at building a widget, so there will be updates and changes coming. Watch this space.
